Hey there! I am an M.Sc. Mathematics student at the Technical University of Munich, focusing on probability theory and machine learning. I recently completed my Master's thesis at the University of Cambridge, working in the intersection of causality and Bayesian optimization. Currently, I am a Software Engineering Intern at Intrinsic, focusing on 6D object pose estimation models.

During my studies I also interned as a Computer Vision Engineer at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin as well as undertook a research visit at the University of Tokyo.

I am currently seeking a full-time opportunities as of November 2025, ideally as a Research Engineer or Software Engineer in the field of Machine Learning.

    • Developed Multi-Objective Causal Bayesian Optimization, a novel sequential optimization paradigm for identifying Pareto-optimal interventions in multi-outcome causal models
    • Demonstrated that our algorithm establishes optimal solutions, which state-of-the-art methods cannot reach for all experimental setups
  3. KTH Royal Institute of Technology
    Stockholm, Sweden
    Exchange Semester (Aug. 2022 – Jan. 2023)
    • Completed (project) courses worth 30 ECTS on various data science topics

Working Experience

  1. Intrinsic (Alphabet Inc.)
    Munich, Germany
Software Engineering Intern (Mai 2025 - present)
Working on 6D Object Pose Estimation models
  2. Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo
    Tokyo, Japan
Research Intern: NLP (Oct. 2023 - Mar. 2024)
    • Explored a new language task for indirect language understanding called "Inferring the underlying intent of indirect answers"
    • Built a tool to efficiently extract, preprocess and annotate (polarquestion, indirect answer) pairs from X (formerly Twitter) data repositories
    • Designed and implemented language models for our indirect language understanding task
  3. German Aerospace Center (DLR)
    Berlin, Germany
Research Intern: Computer Vision (Feb. 2023 - Jun. 2023)
    • Explored attention-based neural networks for computer vision tasks (vision transformers such as the pre-trained Segmenter and SegViT) in a maritime context, specifically for semantic segmentation of ships on DLR-MACS data
    • Experimented with extensive data fusion, transfer learning and fine-tuning approaches to improve model output and mIoU scores
    • Established and implemented a framework of benchmarks to evaluate the reliability and trustworthiness of these models as compared to traditional convolution-based architectures
